Our client is an environmental MNC with a presence of more than 15 offices globally and they are currently seeking for high-calibre, hands-on talents to be part of the dynamic team as a Senior Finance Manager.
About the role
Reporting to the Vice President Finance, APAC, you will be heading up the Australia Finance team and will be responsible in managing the overall financial operations in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Evaluation of monthly closing of accounts, financial and analysis reports for management’s decision making
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Overseeing of the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, and coordination with other departments on overall budget execution, review and control
- Cashflow Management
- Stakeholder management: Coordination with the internal stakeholders and external auditors on reporting requirements. Main liaison with the external auditors, tax agent and lawyers to support audit, tax and other statutory requirements
- Tax Management: Reviewing of tax computations and tax returns
- Interdepartmental collaboration: Working on the project profitability and maintain financial operation workflows
- Process Improvements: Proposing of improvements through necessary automation or digitalization to increase team’s overall effectiveness and efficiency
- Leadership and Training: Providing proper guidance and ensure necessary support through training and development to the Finance team
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess good flexibility and excellent communication skills to interact with various groups of stakeholders, with the ability to work under tight datelines.
Key Requirement:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 10 years in relevant working experience including 5 years in a managerial position
- Well-versed in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Australian tax regulations
- A good team player with a demonstrated leadership
- Good governance and compliance mindset
- Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) industry will be advantageous
- 20-30% of traveling required
