Our client is a specialist in its field with its operations span in numerous parts of the world. They are currently seeking for talents to join the team as a Senior Manager, Business Risk Strategy.
About the role
As the Senior Manager, Business Risk Strategy you will be overseeing the operations in the Asia region, offering policy, contract, analytical, claim, and investigative guidance to both regional and global operational matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee risk management initiatives to manage operational matters for the business across Asia, collaborating with various countries and departments to address challenges and opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of finance operational strategies with the business’s brand and strategic planning processes while mitigating potential risks.
- Provide assistance to the corporate risk function in overseeing global and local policies and audits.
- Handle claims and analyze pertinent risk statistical data.
- Monitor and report significant trends impacting the business in the region.
- Conduct reviews of commercial contracts in the Asia region and contribute to global contract assessments.
- Support Business Continuity endeavors, including data collection and evaluation.
- Ensure alignment with Legal on all business contracts and litigation matters.
A successful candidate must demonstrate a track record of effectively managing operational challenges and providing strategic guidance to stakeholders. You should also possess practical experience in risk management and strong leadership skills to advise on matters within the organization.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, or a quantitative discipline, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
- Min. of 8 years in a regional and/or global responsibility in Asia, with at least 6 years of contract review experience.
- Proficient in assessing and effectively communicating risk across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to speak Mandarin to effectively liaise with Chinese stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities at an executive management level.
