About the Company:
Our client is a global industrial automation MNC seeking a high-impact APAC Channel Development Director to lead their regional partner ecosystem and drive channel sales growth across Asia-Pacific. This leadership role will focus on developing and expanding our distributor, reseller, and system integrator network while managing a high-performing team to execute strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven channel leader with deep expertise in collaborative robotics, industrial automation, or related technology markets. You will play a key role in scaling revenue, strengthening partner relationships, and expanding market share across diverse industries, including manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and electronics.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Channel Strategy & Expansion
- Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy to expand regional market presence and sales pipeline.
- Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, resellers, and system integrators to drive revenue growth.
- Establish performance KPIs for channel partners and optimize partner engagement models.
2. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a regional team of channel managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Set clear goals, provide coaching, and develop team capabilities to drive partner success.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Partner Enablement & GTM Execution
- Oversee partner training programs, ensuring distributors and resellers are equipped with technical knowledge, sales tools, and market insights.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to execute joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
- Develop incentive structures, promotions, and co-marketing campaigns to enhance channel engagement.
4. Revenue & Market Growth
- Own and drive regional channel revenue targets, ensuring consistent growth and profitability.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to refine strategy.
- Collaborate with regional and global leadership to align APAC channel initiatives with broader company objectives.
5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the key liaison between channel partners and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
- Work with product and R&D teams to provide market feedback and influence product development.
- Partner with finance and legal teams to manage contracts, pricing structures, and compliance.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in channel development, partner sales, or business development in the robotics, automation, or industrial technology space.
- Proven track record of leading and managing regional teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience in scaling distributor and system integrator networks to drive revenue growth.
- Deep knowledge of industrial robotics, industrial automation, and smart manufacturing solutions.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across diverse cultures.
- Ability to travel regionally (30-50%) as needed.
