The Company:
Our client is a premium global lifestyle brand seeking an Assistant Regional Finance Manager to join their Southeast Asia operations. This position is pivotal in enhancing the regional finance function, aligning with global financial strategies, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance to drive business growth in the region.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, while offering actionable insights to support business growth.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with regional leadership and global headquarters for accuracy and alignment with goals.
- Financial Accounting: Oversee month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with local accounting laws, tax regulations, and international standards while strengthening financial controls and streamlining reporting processes.
- Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build relationships with internal teams, auditors, and tax advisors to maintain consistency in financial reporting across the organization.
- Team Management: Lead and develop finance team members to ensure high performance.
Key Requirements:
- Min. of 5 years of finance experience, preferably within a global organization, with a strong preference for experience in the retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with familiarity in international accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to mentor and manage team members while driving process improvements.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools is a plus.
