Job Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy and establish strong partnerships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Gather workforce planning requirements and collaborate with business leaders and managers to formulate plans that support business growth.
- Provide management with human resources advice, counsel, and decision-making support.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through strategic HR initiatives.
- Actively contribute to the design and implementation of performance and sustainability initiatives within the organization.
Compensation & Benefits
- Collaborate closely with the Total Rewards team on salary benchmarking exercises, making recommendations based on market data and organizational priorities.
- Analyze internal and external data to identify risks and opportunities, and propose actionable recommendations.
- Monitor the HR budget, ensuring that headcount and costs align with the budget plan.
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment and selection processes.
- Keep stakeholders updated on the recruitment process in a timely manner.
- Manage the orientation program to ensure new joiners have a first-class onboarding experience.
Talent Management
- Support management in developing and following up on individual development plans.
- Administer accurate talent evaluation information through the talent management system to manage succession planning.
- Drive the performance appraisal process, ensuring excellence in execution to align employee development with organizational objectives.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive working environment through proactive employee relations activities and effective communication.
- Assist in handling local labor tribunal cases with the support of the Compliance team.
- Address and resolve employee complaints, disputes, and grievances, reporting them to the HR leadership team.
- Coach line managers on handling performance-related issues and disciplinary actions.
- Drive and facilitate regular employee engagement surveys, ensuring that action plans are implemented.
- A degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role or a comprehensive understanding of HR functions within a retail environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams with strong influencing and communication skills, engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and build relationships with employees at all levels, including leadership. You have a knack for influencing and fostering relationships across functions.
- A strong drive for results with the capability to translate complex, strategic issues into clear goals, actionable plans, and measurable deliverables.
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with a willingness to take the initiative in driving HR objectives forward.
- High level of ownership and personal accountability, ensuring that tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and delivering results.
