Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Stewardship: Support Chief Research Office in defining and aligning strategic roadmap of the department, and custodian role working alongside senior research leadership on stewardship.
- Budget & Resource Management: Analyse research funding effectiveness to optimise resource allocation. Implement data-driven reporting systems to enhance compliance reporting, and facilitate periodic budgeting and costing analysis financial efficiency.
- Policy & Governance: Develop, review, and implement research policies and guidelines across the organisation, collaborating with stakeholders to formulate and refine procedures. Ensure standardized governance and consistent implementation across the organisation.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Process Improvement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to review processes, initiate programs, and enhance administrative, operational, and system efficiency to support departmental objectives. Work with senior research leadership and corporate functions (e.g. HR, Finance) on process improvement initiatives
- Space Planning: Ensure research & development spaces are utilized effectively and efficiently, in compliance with prevailing laws and organisational policies.
Key Requirements
- Recognised Master’s Degree or PHD Degree
- Comes with more than 15 years of work experience in Research & Development (R&D), with exposure to national-level, public-private, cross-border projects
- Prior work experience in higher education or research institution
- Strong strategic planning, stakeholder management, communication, and people management skills
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and ability to communicate insights
