Our Client
Our client is an Asian-headquartered brand in the B2C Retail sector that has been delivering exceptional product innovations and consumer experiences. A brand with a distinct cultural heritage and charting exciting growth in the personal and beauty care space, they are now looking to hire a dynamic and strategic Head of Retail to lead their next wave of transformation and growth.
As Head of Retail, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing customer experience, and developing retail expansion plan. Your strong leadership, analytical prowess, and deep understanding of market trends will play a critical role in shaping the success of their retail operations.
Responsibilities:
Reporting into leadership, you will lead their entire retail operations team, and shape their overall retail excellence strategy across all key channels, with a keen focus on their DTC retail channels. As the key leader and spokesperson of their commercial journey, you will develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
You will analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and potential areas of improvement and lead the retail team to drive exceptional performance, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation and driving retail operations excellence. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create an exceptional customer journey in-store, you will also work with their Marketing team to implement strategies to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and retention and continually improve the overall shopping experience.
As a key leader within their retail division, close partnerships with the buying and merchandising teams is necessary to curate a compelling product assortment aligned with current trends and customer preferences while optimizing visual merchandising and store layouts to maximize sales potential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in commercial or sales positions, with hands-on exposure in Singapore and region.
- Regional retail expansion planning experience in retail industry is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including trends, brands and consumer preferences.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market insights, and financial reports.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills and a strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in using sales and data analysis tools.
- Previous experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
