Role Overview
This pivotal role within an internal consulting team is responsible for producing creative and strategic business content for a diverse portfolio of operating companies across various sectors. Collaborating closely with senior management teams, investment leads, and communications directors, you will craft a variety of publications that articulate each company’s unique narratives and values. These include thought leadership articles, governance documents, heritage booklets, and other storytelling projects tailored to internal and external audiences.
You will engage with executives and thought leaders across multiple industries and cultures, capturing their voice and tone to create impactful content. The role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, who sees business as a narrative with the potential to inspire and create positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document compelling narratives for operating companies.
- Write and refine governance materials, heritage booklets, playbooks, and annual reports.
- Create thought leadership articles and other communication assets for publication on various platforms, including websites, trade magazines, and newspapers.
- Conduct interviews with management teams to produce engaging articles.
- Deliver polished speeches for events such as awards ceremonies.
- Provide ad-hoc communication and writing support for ongoing projects.
Key Requirements
- Exceptional English proficiency with impeccable grammar and editing skills.
- Experience in a newsroom, business journalism, or a comparable environment.
- Strong research skills and the ability to adapt to new industries quickly.
- Versatility in tone and style to address varied audiences (e.g., simplifying content for non-native speakers or professionalizing language for business executives).
- Experience with op-ed writing or similar projects (preferred).
